Meet the Team

Jeff Evans joined CAE in May 2021 and was named the company's President in January 2023. Previously, he served as the Vice President of Global Sales and Customer Excellence. In that role, Jeff oversaw activities related to defining and implementing the company’s sales and customer service strategies. His responsibilities included account and market development, overseeing global sales activities, owning and optimizing sales channel execution and performance, and leading the global sales and customer service teams.

Jeff joined CAE after more than 17 years with GE Healthcare. Most recently at GE Healthcare, Jeff served as Vice President of Strategy, National Accounts and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), managing the top national healthcare systems and GPOs.

Also at GE Healthcare, Jeff served as Vice President, Healthcare Digital for the United States and Canada, growing both the core portfolio and artificial intelligence suite of products. His tenure gave him experience in redefining sales processes, streamlining operating mechanisms, developing key stakeholders, analyzing data, driving channel strategy, modeling distribution, and other related activities.

Jeff has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a minor in finance from the University of Arizona and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary’s College of California. He also received a fellowship in healthcare administration and management from the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Christine Meier, who joined CAE Healthcare in 2022, is responsible for developing an efficient, adaptable and scalable operational structure to support business growth. She also oversees the delivery of our products and services with a focus on quality and culture.

Prior to joining CAE, Christine spent more than 20 years at GE Healthcare and St. Jude Medical, working in various leadership roles in Operations, Customer Solutions, Clinical Asset Management, Field Service, Commercial Operations and Service Operations. Her career has provided her with experience in healthcare solutions, profit and loss management and operational performance. Before pursuing a career in healthcare, Christine served as a captain in the US Air Force.

Christine earned a bachelor’s degree in architectural studies from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Oklahoma.

Simon Walls joined CAE in February 2022. As Vice President of Marketing, Strategy and Partnership for CAE Healthcare, Simon oversees up- and downstream marketing, commercialization and implementation of all marketing programs, including new product launches, market development and key industry relationships. He also leads the creation of industry alliances and the identification of new business development opportunities.

Simon has worked for and with major companies worldwide, including executive positions at Carrier HVAC Commercial Service; Samuel, Son & Co.; GE Healthcare; and across multiple technology firms. His career has evolved from applied marketing and business development to leading, designing, and implementing market and client strategies. This experience has broadened his expertise across diverse industries, geographies, and market segments, including marketing agencies, general and specialist management consulting firms, enterprise software, medical devices, metal distribution and manufacturing, and more.

Simon has a Higher National Diploma in Business and Finance, specializing in marketing and advertising, from Kingston University, Surrey, England.

Dr. Stefan Monk is an anesthesiologist, emergency medicine specialist, educator and director who began his career with CAE Healthcare (formerly METI) in 2010. In his role as Chief Medical Officer, Stefan collaborates with global authorities, key opinion leaders (KOLs) and subject matter experts (SMEs) to build and manage strategic relationships with stakeholders in healthcare such as professional societies, patient safety organizations, regulatory bodies, medical device companies and hospitals, while spreading awareness of the CAE mission to make healthcare safer. 

Stefan's professional history includes stints at Mainz University and the German Air Rescue Service. He was also Chief Emergency Physician of the City of Mainz, Germany. Stefan is a speaker, a published author and subject matter expert and was pivotal in the successful introduction of simulation into Germany's undergraduate medical education. 

Stefan is a member of the German Anaesthesia Society and the European Anaesthesia Society and the Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine (SESAM), the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). He is a former president of SESAM, has been member of several committees of the SSH and has co-authored the Healthcare Simulationist Code of Ethics.

Gino Servello serves as the Healthcare division’s Chief Financial Officer responsible for guiding the company’s finance functions to help achieve business objectives.

Gino joined CAE in 2021. Prior to that, he held management positions at Smiths Group, L3 Technologies, Spirit AeroSystems, Canon USA and TD Bank. His expertise and experience include strategic financial planning, financial forecasting and analysis, bid and proposals, and elevating process efficiencies.

Gino earned a Master of Business Administration from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Bentley College.

Amar Patel is a clinician, researcher, and renowned educator with a Doctorate in Health Science from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and a Master of Science in Emergency Health Services Education from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  He currently serves as chief learning officer at CAE Healthcare.

Founder and past chair of the North Carolina Simulation Collaborative, Dr. Patel is a simulation expert and much-published key opinion leader with 60+ abstracts, articles and textbook chapter publications to date. With a professional history that includes stints as a firefighter, paramedic, educator, researcher, and curriculum developer, Dr. Patel maintains over 17 certifications and is involved in several healthcare quality committees.

Dr. Patel has most recently held the position of executive director of WakeMed Innovations at WakeMed Health & Hospitals, having been responsible for healthcare innovation, idea generation, innovation investments, technology-based educational programs (such as patient simulation and online learning), and simulation-based research.

Karl Harik is the Director of Human Resources for CAE Healthcare and has been with CAE for more than 15 years. Karl oversees the Human Resources function, guiding the strategies and practices that attract, develop and retain the most qualified of professionals who will shape the company’s culture and contribute to CAE Healthcare’s success.

Karl is a highly energetic and business-oriented leader with an extensive history in the aviation and healthcare simulation industries. He attained a Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of Montreal and, upon being awarded a Masters Degree in Management: Analysis and Development of Organizations.

Having joined CAE in Montreal in 2001 as a Human Resources Business Partner, Karl achieved his current designation as a result of his considerable leadership qualities and now provides astute Human Resources stewardship in the USA, Canada, and APAC. His interests include people engagement, corporate culture, sales training and optimization, and business integration.

Jennifer Jula joined CAE Healthcare in 2011. As senior legal counsel, Jennifer provides guidance on all corporate legal matters and engages in the company’s overall corporate business strategy.

Jennifer serves as key legal adviser on major business transactions, including licensing agreements, development agreements, partnership agreements and joint ventures. Among other responsibilities, Jennifer manages and negotiates contractual matters, creates and monitors standard sales and purchasing terms, and ensures operational compliance with applicable regulations including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FNPA), export controls and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

Before joining CAE Healthcare, Jennifer clerked for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida and for Zimmet, Unice, & Salzman, P.A. She also has served as assistant editor for Revere Legal Publishers.

Jennifer graduated from the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law, specializing in intellectual property law. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in microbiology and mathematics minor from the University of Florida.

Jillian Edwards joined CAE Healthcare as the Director of Sales for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) in April 2023. In this role, she leads the worldwide OEM sales organization, working with them to develop and grow the OEM portfolio.  

Prior to CAE, Jillian spent 10 years in sales and leadership roles at GE Healthcare, where she focused on developing high-performing teams, strategically aligning skills to role development, delighting customers and delivering growth through operational effectiveness.  

Jillian earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Florida’s Hough Graduate School of Business. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and systems engineering with a minor in business administration, sales engineering and entrepreneurship from the University of Florida’s College of Engineering.  

Scott Butler joined CAE in 2021 and was named Vice President of Global Sales in May 2023. Scott is responsible for leading the global sales team, defining and implementing the sales strategy, developing accounts and markets, and achieving revenue targets. 

Prior to joining CAE, Scott led a strategic sales team for Cardinal Health focused on supporting products and distribution. He also held many sales leadership roles at GE Healthcare, including Zone Sales Director for ultrasound, Life Care Solutions Regional Manager, Deal Hub Manager and Service Sales Commercial Manager. Scott also served in the United States Army as an air defense artillery officer. 

Scott earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Iowa and a Master of Business Administration degree from Thomas More College in Kentucky.
