Pathogens of High Consequence

Pathogens of High Consequence

About this module

During an infectious disease outbreak, clinical teams must effectively care for critically ill patients while protecting themselves from transmission and maintaining a safe environment for other patients and staff. In addition, they often work with the added stressors of high-volume cases, hospital over-capacity issues and staffing, medication and supply shortages.

CAE Healthcare has developed the Pathogens of High Consequence learning module based on today’s best practices and lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. Prepare your clinical teams to Identify, Isolate and Communicate to keep the community and staff safe while caring for patients with progressing symptoms.

Each CAE Healthcare Simulated Clinical Experience (SCE) includes learning objectives, patient history and records, preprogrammed physiological states, debrief questions, PPE checklists, resources and facilitator guides.
