CAE Healthcare is one of the three core businesses of CAE, a high-technology company that delivers cutting-edge training and critical operations solutions in healthcare, aviation and defense/security to safely move our world forward.

In a continued effort to drive the commitment, we recently hosted 192 Canadian Air Cadets at our Montreal headquarters for a day of engaging simulation presentations and product demonstrations.

The Canadian Air Cadets is a national program that aims to promote aviation and aerospace education, leadership, physical fitness and community service for youths 12 to 18 years old.

Operating in partnership with the Canadian Armed Forces, the program focuses on developing well-rounded, responsible young Canadians who can make valuable contributions to their communities and society.

During the event, cadets had the chance to fly a full-flight simulator and practice flight protocols to see the connection between aviation and patient safety. They also practiced CPR on our emergency-care training manikin CAE Ares and experienced an immersive ultrasound walkthrough with CAE VimedixAR for cardiac and OB-GYN practices.

At CAE Healthcare, we believe simulation saves lives, and is one of the most effective, risk-free ways to prepare for the moments that matter.

With hands-on experience, the cadets were able to apply theoretical knowledge to practical situations and gain valuable understanding that can potentially save lives in the future.

Not only was this a memorable moment for the youth, but it also hit home for our very own Chief Executive Officer, Marc Parent, who is a cadet alumnus himself. Marc surprised the cadets with a visit to share his inspiring journey from cadet to CEO and discussed how finding a passion for aviation at a young age sparked his career.
