Galen College of Nursing Welcomes CAE Healthcare Simulators

At its September 2018 grand opening, Galen College of Nursing (St. Petersburg, FL.) unveiled a new, 70,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility that houses several CAE Healthcare patient simulators within its newly crowned "Simulation Hospital."

The college's simulation hospital allows for immersive, risk-free training in various patient care scenarios. Students get to practice essential clinical skills on realistic high-fidelity simulators such as CAE Apollo, CAE Juno, and CAE PediaSIM.

In 2015, Galen began offering a 'dual-track' BSN program to help prepare students for RN licensure while they worked toward the BSN degree. This makes it possible for students to advance their studies through flexible program options.

Galen's dual-track BSN option lets nursing students earn an RN license once they have finished requirements for an Associates Degree in Nursing and blend real-life clinical experiences into their coursework. The program permits students to pause their studies, if necessary, and return at a time when it's more convenient for the individual student. Flexibility of this nature increases the chances for success.
