From September 16 through September 20, 2019, CAE Healthcare will join the healthcare and simulation communities (along with the public-at-large), in embracing an annual opportunity to heighten awareness of the immense potential and power that simulation-based training has to improve the delivery of healthcare, build and strengthen clinical competency, and minimize patient risk.
Healthcare Simulation Week 2019 (the third such global event of its kind), is sponsored by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. Established in 2004, the Society has dedicated itself to the global enhancement of healthcare by fostering “the improvement and application of simulation-based modalities such as human patient simulators, virtual reality, Standardized Patients and task trainers for all healthcare disciplines.”
CAE Healthcare and Healthcare Simulation Week
Throughout #HCSimWeek19, CAE Healthcare will celebrate with special events and exciting activities within its Sarasota, FL headquarters.
CAE will also offer up a series of topical articles, relevant social media posts, and valuable insights with useful resources to motivate healthcare organizations and training institutions to implement healthcare simulation into their training curriculums.

Additionally, on Tuesday September 17, the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI), in cooperation with CAE Healthcare, hosted a special broadcast of the ground-breaking patient safety documentary, "To Err is Human."
The free, in-person viewing took place in Ottawa, Canada, but the screening was available to a worldwide audience via livestream.
