Neonatal Nurses Week (September 9 - 15, 2019) is "an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and dedication of neonatal nurses" everywhere!
This important, week-long event presents us all with the chance to not only say "Thank You," but to also share insights, facts, resources, and stories of interest to those members of the nursing and healthcare community who make it their life's work to care for the littlest, and often sickest, of patients.
What is Neonatal Nurses Week?
The theme for the 2019 recognition of Neonatal Nurses Week is two-fold.
On the one hand, it's all about Celebrating You - celebrating the individual nurse, the nursing teams, the educators, neonatal nursing administrators and the strength of the families of neonates under medical care.
Established by the National Association of Neonatal Nurses, members of the neonatal community use this time to honor their nurse colleagues and show their pride in being a neonatal nurse."
Alternately, Neonatal Nurses Week is also about connecting with the community of professional caregivers in support of their rallying cry "We Save Babies!"
Every day, thousands of neonatal nurses work tirelessly to save the smallest and most fragile patients. You save babies every day and the work you do matters to so many patients and their families."
