METIman provides more realistic model-driven simulation. Whether you are training across town or across the hall, METIman is CAE Healthcare’s most affordable wireless patient simulator, built to withstand a wide variety of real-life indoor or outdoor learning environments. With automatic physiological responses, METIman’s easy to use learning features are designed for teaching basic nursing and prehospital skills. Choose between two models - METIman Nursing or METIman Prehospital, offering scenarios and features specifically tailored to each discipline. METIman is now available with two skin options - medium and dark.
“We really like the METI models because they are
physiologically based. Simulation allows us to immerse a student in a near-real clinical situation.”

METIman’s airway management features for nursing include the ability to suction airway secretions, to aspirate and infuse fluids, cricothyrotomy/tracheostomy and bronchial occlusion. METIman responds to defibrillation, pacing and CPR compressions, which generate palpable pulses, blood pressure waveforms and ECG artifacts.
With variable airway resistance, METIman offers risk-free practice of nasal and endotracheal intubation procedures and cricothyrotomy as well as defibrillation, pacing and CPR. METIman has bilateral chest movement, and responds to needle thoracentesis and chest tube placement.
Operating METIman is simple with the Müse interface. The dashboard features a patient image, conditions and medications, streaming data from clinical monitors, a menu of Simulated Clinical Experiences (SCEs) and a timeline. The patient’s physiology and SCE can be preset so an instructor can focus on teaching.
METIman features four preprogrammed Simulated Clinical Experiences (SCEs) and integrates with most of CAE Healthcare’s learning modules. Each learning module contains evidence-based training scenarios designed to immerse learners in a clinical environment. The scenarios include learning objectives, facilitator’s notes, equipment and supply list and software application.
