Speaking as a network admin, what I'm finding with the METIVision server is that the DHCP service it runs is bound to all interfaces, rather than just the one intended for the local cameras. This causes alarms on our Cisco switches with DHCP Snooping configured. And what it means is that it could cause other devices on the LAN which the external interface is connected to get an incorrect IP.
This should be an easy fix if I could just get into the OS and force the DHCP service to only bind to the one interface. But so far, CAE support has not been very responsive. So, I'm trying the forums. Maybe someone here has some ideas? I'm a seasoned Linux admin as well, so just give me root and tell me how to connect to the console, and I can fix it myself, maybe even provide the steps if it's never been done.
